Chime Elementary School is a learning center that provides academic instruction to more than 350 students in kindergarten through grade six. The school offers counseling program that includes classroom lessons, individual and group counseling, referral assistance, and parent and teacher consultation services. Its library media center is an instructional support center for students and staff to increase their reading skills and improve abilities in the use of technology and books. The school imparts academic instruction in reading, spelling, speech, language arts, physical education, math, science, social studies and English. It is a part of Kalamazoo Public Schools, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools. Chime Elementary School has been operational since 1954 and is located in Kalamazoo, Mich.
