Opened in 1968, Coles Elementary School enrolls more than 500 students in kindergarten through grade five. It is accredited by the Virginia State Department of Education. The school s academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. Coles Elementary School additionally offers programs in art, music, and health and physical education. It also provides various center-based hearing impaired programs for children with hearing disabilities. The school offers the English for Speakers of Other Languages program and conducts special education classes.
