King Career Center is a vocational and technical educational institution that offers academic and extracurricular programs for students in grades 11 and 12. King Career Center has a counseling department that offers assistance with various issues, such as appropriate vocational class selection, overcoming personal problems, and the development of realistic personal and career goals. It offers classes in photography, rescue practices, retail merchandising, hospitality management, public safety and security, and plumbing and pipefitting. The school provides a range of national and state scholarships for eligible students, as well as assistance with placement in colleges, technical schools and apprentice programs. Additionally, it conducts several recreational and educational activities for its students. Located in Anchorage, Alaska, King Career Center is part of the Anchorage School District, which governs elementary, middle and high schools.
