Based in Macon, Ga., Tattnall Square Academy is a nonprofit corporation that was founded in 1969 and is licensed by the state of Georgia. The academy is a coeducational day school that serves more than 800 students in prekindergarten through grade 12. It offers a college preparatory curriculum that includes English, foreign languages, mathematics, social studies, art and science. The academy provides a wide variety of athletic activities, including baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, soccer, tennis, track and field, wrestling, cheerleading and softball. It also offers various extracurricular activities and clubs, such as band, chorus, drama, debate, key and Latin clubs, student council, yearbook and newspaper. Tattnall Square Academy is accredited by the Georgia Accrediting Commission, the Southern Association of Independent Schools and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
