Established in 1868, Volunteers of America-Greater New York is a social service organization. Based in New York City N.Y., the organization helps men, women as well as children to lead safe, healthy, independent and productive lives. It provides transitional housing for individuals/families until settlement in permanent house, schools for young children suffering from developmental delays, support for older adults and residential services for youth in foster care, among others.
