York Elementary School is a part of the Wake County Public School System, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools. York Elementary School serves students in kindergarten through grade five. Its staff includes teachers, specialists, Title I instructors, counselors, social workers, nurses, and custodial and food services personnel. The school supports a variety of extracurricular programs in art, music, dance, drama, physical education, and computer and media studies. In addition, York Elementary School conducts foreign language programs in Spanish and offers the English as a Second Language program.
