Paula M. Jenkins is a Public Accountant in New Mexico with over thirty years experience working in the accounting and financial business arena. Detail oriented and down-to-earth, yet capable of seeing the big picture, she started A + Accounting Inc. in August, 1999. That same year she became a QuickBooks ProAdvisor. And, as a member of the New Mexico Society of Public Accountants, Paula has adopted the Code of Ethics in accounting as provided by the National Society of Accountants.Born and raised in Ohio, Paula put herself through college and received her BS in Accounting. She worked for twenty years for two large corporations in the oil and gas industry and spent several years working for H&R Block before going out on her own. Paula received her Life & Health Insurance license in 1991 and spent a number of years working with the National Association of the Self-Employed (NASE) and the American Small Business Association (ASBA). While owning and operating her own insurance office and training insurance agents, she grew to appreciate the special needs of small business owners.In 1995, Paula became a NASD Registered Representative for Sun America Securities and then with Financial Investment Network Corp (now ING). Although currently not active as a broker, this experience developed her skills as a financial consultant. She is qualified to advise and counsel small business owners in the areas of life and health insurance, both personally and for their employees, and in retirement plans and tax planning.Paula moved to Albuquerque in 1997, where she runs her own business and enjoys tennis and golf, gardening, and camping and hiking in the Land of Enchantment. Devoted to exploring all facets of being, Paula is also a Reiki Master Teacher.
