Founded in 1920, the Friendly House is a social service agency with one of its locations in Phoenix. Its work force development program includes education, job placement and occupational training for individuals and families. The agency s immigration services include visas, family petitions, court representations, and work authorization and citizenship applications. It also offers personal care, housekeeping, meal preparation and companionship services for elderly and disabled people. The Friendly House provides individual, family and group counseling, including home-based and crisis intervention services. Its after-school program includes tutoring, mentoring and cultural enrichment activities for youths. The agency annually serves more than 30,000 families, youths and children.
