The Academy of Saint Elizabeth, established in 1860, is one of the oldest high schools for young women in the state of New Jersey. The independent college preparatory school offers advanced placement programs in calculus, chemistry, English, American history and foreign languages, and honors programs in each major academic discipline. It provides opportunities to students to earn college credits by participating in programs at the College of Saint Elizabeth or Project Acceleration with Seton Hall University, as well as other cooperative programs with area colleges and universities. The academy rewards outstanding students with induction into the National Honor Society, as well as membership into the select French, Spanish and Latin National Honor Societies. The Academy of Saint Elizabeth is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. It is also a member of the New Jersey Association of Independent Schools, National Association of Independent Schools and National Catholic Education Association. The Academy of Saint Elizabeth is located in Convent Station, N.J.
