Adams Wood Products started making wood parts with two employees for the furniture industry in a rented garage of nearly 2,400 square feet in 1977. In 1981, the company moved to more than 6,000 square feet at its present location. A building program completed in 1991 gave it approximately 80,000 square feet and it employs nearly 80 skilled Tennessee woodworkers. The company s knowledge of woodworking has been used to make wood parts for health care, medical, hotel and motel, institutional and store display furniture industries. In 1987, it initiated a program to inventory various popular wood components to make them available to the small- and medium-sized furniture manufacturers. Products manufactured include tables, chairs, bedposts, bun feet, billiard tables, furniture hardware and turning squares. Adams Wood Products is located in Morristown, Tenn.
