Services/Products
Nephrologists are trained in the evaluation, treatment and management of kidney disease. Using various testing modalities such as ultrasound, nuclear function scans, kidney biopsy, and blood and urinalysis, the nephrologist diagnoses and coordinates further care of the patient using some or all of hemo- or peritoneal dialysis, drug therapy to control hypertension, inflammation or infection, surgical intervention and sometimes renal transplantation.
