Allergies or Allergic Rhinitis is a disorder that occurs when your body detects foreign substances called allergens (triggers). The most common symptoms of allergies, such as sneezing, itchy and watery eyes, runny nose, itchy throat and a stuffy nose. Other less common symptoms a patient might experience include chronic sinusitis, dizziness, ear problems, rashes, hives and stomach problems. We are able to test and treat a variety of allergy related disease processes, such as indoor and outdoor inhalants, stinging insects, and food and fungus allergies. Utilizing three techniques to manage allergies, the patient will receive the maximum relief of their symptoms: Avoidance Medications Immunotherapy Medications such as antihistamines, nasal sprays, steroids and decongestants may provide temporary relief, but do not address the underlying immune problem. Allergy shots are a once-a-week injection given in our office. Sublingual Therapy is a convenient way of administering immunotherapy. Drops are placed under the tongue twice a week at home. In our society of processed foods, we are eating hidden ingredients, such as milk, soy, wheat or corn on a daily basis. There are two types of food allergies: Cyclic food allergy is the most common type of food allergy. Symptoms are delayed, meaning you may not have symptoms for hours to days after ingesting the offending food. Fixed food allergy is less common. Symptoms occur almost immediately after being ingested. Symptoms may include swelling of the face, hives or rash.

My wife saw him as the last patient of his day and he exuded all the charm and care of a wounded badger.byCindy T.on05/04/2015This place is great. I have 3 children and they have all needed ent services (tonsils/adenoids and ear tubes). They were great with my children and would personally go back if needed.byChristopher K.on01/07/2015Doctor has been great, but they've gotten VERY aggressive about payment. If we don't pay within a month now we get a call saying if we don't pay up it'll be sent to collections. We've been going here 4 years now but they treat us like criminals.can't get their scheduling rightbysashlynon06/11/2014I had a hearing test scheduled for my 20 month old and they scheduled me at a location that doesn't have the correct equipment for a child his age. Then I get an appt at the correct facility and the reminder comes 2 days ahead of time which you have to confirm. I get there and they tell me my appt is at 3 pm not 9am.. this is the SECOND day I have taken off work to bring my child for his hearing test and the blonde receptionist proceeds to blame me.. I can hear and I confirmed the reminder for 9am. Whoever does your scheduling obviously needs a new job. Your receptionist needs new Customer service training bc she is rude and blames ur patients. I wish I had a recording of my "reminder" ur office sent me.
They did proceed to "work us in" no telling how long I'm going to have to sit here occuping a not even 2 year old. Get your scheduling together..I won't ever come back to this place again.byCathy K.on02/07/2014My experience with Dr. Carter was great! His office has a beautiful waiting room, friendly and competent office staff, and I had no wait time. He was friendly, professional, thorough, and patient. He made me feel calm and comfortable throughout the process. Dr. Carter is everything you could ask for in a doctor. I recommend him wholeheartedly!byM G.on01/31/2014I have been suffering from allergies for many years and finally found some treatment that makes me feel better. Dr. Abbas (and his nurses) just down the road from me always sees me quickly. He takes the time to answer my questions, too, which is always appreciated. byCathy K.on01/31/2014I absolutely loved Dr. Abbas. We hit it off right away! He really listened, was extremely thorough and recommended preventative measures I could take to combat allergies. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs a great ENT! byKevin G.on01/31/2014What a great experience. I had headaches for over a year and Dr. Abbas was able to pinpoint the problem immediately.
