Adventist Medical Center, located in Portland, Ore., is part of Adventist Health, a nonprofit health care system affiliated with the Seventh-Day Adventist Church and headquartered in Roseville, Calif. The system is part of an international network of more than 160 Adventist health care facilities. It has more than 50 physicians and over 18 medical clinics in the Portland area. The clinics are affiliated with the Adventist Medical Center, a more than 300-bed acute care facility that offers a range of inpatient, outpatient and emergency services throughout the Portland and Vancouver metropolitan area. Adventist Health also comprises more than 20 hospitals, with more than 3,100 beds and over 18,800 employees. The hospitals include more than 15 home care agencies and joint-venture retirement centers.
