Founded in 1984, Aid for AIDS of Nevada (AFAN) is one of the largest AIDS service organizations in the state of Nevada. Located in Las Vegas, Nev., it provides support/advocacy for adults and children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS in southern Nevada. The organization works to reduce HIV infection through prevention education to eliminate the stigma associated with the disease. It provides direct client service programs, food programs, prevention/education programs and community outreach. The organization has been voted as the Best NonProfit by Loyal QVegas readers.
