Agecroft Hall was originally a Tudor estate built in England and the home of Langley and Dauntesey families. In 1925, it was sold at auction to Thomas C. Williams. Williams had it dismantled, crated and shipped to Virginia. The hall was reassembled in Richmond, Va. and is now a museum. The hall has antique furnishings dating from 1485 to 1660. English gardens have been built around the estate. The admission charges include an introductory film and guided tour of the museum. The garden tours are self-guided and there is also a museum gift shop that offers a variety of books, food and gifts.
