Agenda for Children is an organization ensuring that the basic needs of children and families are met in Louisiana. The organization works with the local government and tracks laws, policies and decisions that affect children and families, which includes child protection, family economic security, child care, health care, child support, education, juvenile justice, housing and other public services. Agenda for Children also works with individual children and families, organizations and institutions, service providers and the media and provides information, training, resources and technical assistance. It has various projects including Kids Count Data, Better Baby Care, Project Shield and Child Care Resources, which provides parents with information about their child care options, such as child care centers, family child care homes, summer camps, nursery schools and various school programs. The organization is a member of the Voices for America's Children and is headquartered in New Orleans.
