Welcome to Albemarle Pediatric OphthalmologyThis practice is privately owned and has been serving Central and Western Virginia for 35 years. Dr. Bruce T. Carter founded this practice of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus. He was joined in practice by his son, Dr. B. Christian Carter, in August 2006.Both physicians graduated from the University of Virginia Medical School and completed Ophthalmology residencies there as well. Both physicians have completed graduate fellowships in Pediatric Ophthalmology and adult strabismus. Both physicians are certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.The practice includes all routine and surgical eye care for infants and children to 21 years of age along with adults of any age with alignment problems or double vision.
