Alpharetta International Academy, founded in 1981, is a Montessori offering classes for children aged 18 months to 9 years. Its toddler program focuses on development of language, motor skills and social skills. It has four primary classes offering study of English language, mathematics, geography, arts, music, science and culture. Its elementary school offers language study, social studies, science, physical education, mathematics and computers. The teachers at the academy are accredited by the American Montessori Society. It has been operational for more than 20 years and is based in Alpharetta, Ga.
