Alta View Eye Care Center was established in 1979 by John F. Ramsey, M.D. and is one of the oldest eye care centers in Sandy, Utah. Dr. Mathew R. Tempest, M.D. joined the practice in 2001 and soon became a partner in the clinic. When Dr. Ramsey retired in 2010, Dr Tempest bought out Dr. Ramsey.

Dr. Scott R. Barnes,O.D. joined the practice in January 2011. His vast knowledge in Lasik and contact lenses has proved to be a great asset to the practice.
