American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases is one of the leading organizations with a focus on the advancement of science and practice of hepatology. The association represents more than 3,000 physicians, researchers and allied hepatology health professionals. AASLD s annual meeting comprises workshops, plenary, parallel and poster sessions, scientific exhibits and state-of-the-art lectures on the treatment of liver and biliary diseases. The association also publishes a peer-reviewed, monthly journal called Liver Transplantation, in partnership with the International Liver Transplantation Society. It also organizes a workshop on digestive diseases in collaboration with leading medical societies, including the American Gastroenterological Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract. AASLD has its headquarters in Alexandria, Va.
