Established in 1881, the American Association of University Women is one of the leading providers of education and equity for women and girls in the United States. The association has a network of more than 100,000 members, over 1,000 branches and nearly 500 college institution partners nationwide. It operates the Leadership and Training Institute to enhance academic, professional and personal lives. The American Association of University Women offers basic financial education for teenage girls. The association organizes an annual conference that offers an opportunity for college and university women students, faculty members and administrators to develop leadership, career development, political and networking skills. In addition, it provides program models and tool kits to support various mission-based programming and special campus programs.
