American College Of Obgyn

American College-Ob & Gyn is a private, voluntary, nonprofit membership organization that provides health care for women. It provides services for adolescents along with American Indian and Alaskan native women and their children. ACOG works to provide contraception and prenatal care to its underserved communities. It supports legislation to increase funding for women s health. ACOG offers postgraduate education for its physicians. The organization offers memberships which include discounted rates for educational classes, publications, and members only access to the ACOG website. Membership is divided into several categories, including fellow, junior fellow and associate and require its members to be part of the medical community. ACOG was founded in 1951 and has more than 46,000 members.
