Established in 1982, American Family Care is one of the largest independent providers of urgent care in the South. Located in Birmingham, Ala., the centers clinics provide urgent/family care, minor emergency treatment and occupational medicine. In addition to urgent care, American Family Care offers a specialty clinic, NexStep Physical Therapy, WeighToLive and U-Save Pharmacy, which provides access to prescription medications located inside several clinic locations. NexStep Physical Therapy treats common physical therapy conditions that include joint injury, muscle strains, CVA/stroke, joint replacements and arthritis, among others.
