Badger Chapter of the American Red Cross, located in Madison, Wis., responds to more than 100 disasters every year in Crawford, Dane, Iowa, Juneau, Lafayette, Richland, Sauk and Lake Mills, Wis. A part of the American Red Cross, the Badger Chapter s trained volunteers offers rescue services for explosions, storms, wildfires, tornadoes, and floods. The organization provides support services to the members of the United States armed forces and their families. Its support services include financial assistance, interest-free loans and grants, budget counseling, information, referral and advocacy services, and health and welfare inquiries. American Red Cross Badger Chapter also offers various international services, such as missing person s information, Red Cross messages, International Committee of the Red Cross travel documents, and referral services. It hosts several special events throughout the year, including celebration of support, legacy society luncheon, volunteer recognition dinner, American family insurance golf tournament, and real heroes awards dinner.
