AmeriFab was established in 1992. It is a leader in designing, engineering and manufacturing components for electric arc furnaces and supporting equipment for the steel industry. AmeriFab can design and build in its own facilities complete EAF and or ladle metallurgy furnaces. It is a worldwide leader in the development of new technologies for improving furnace operations and holds three patents for water-cooled equipment. The latest development by the company is the patent pending aluminum bronze pipe. This pipe, used primarily in off gas applications, is resistant to acidic attack, has a harder surface than steel to resist abrasion and has an elongation factor double that of steel. The material has shown its ability to withstand the harsh environment of the off gas system through two years of field trials. AmeriFab operates from a nearly 80,000 square foot facility location in Indianapolis.
