Artie s New York Delicatessen was the brainchild of legendary restaurateur Artie Cutler (of Carmine s Dock s Ollie s, Virgil s and Jake s fame.) After Artie s death, his family decided to finish his project of opening up a 1930s style Jewish restaurant. In 1999, Artie s opened as a tribute to its founder. Menu items include chopped liver, tongue, frankfurters, hamburgers, soup, egg salad, knish, specialty sandwiches featuring corned beef, pastrami and other meats, chicken salad, brisket and smoked salmon. Catering, gift certificates and gift baskets are also available for purchase. The restaurant is located in New York City.
