Atlanta History Center features a variety of historic and contemporary exhibits to visitors. Located in Atlanta, the center holds signature exhibitions, temporary exhibitions and traveling exhibitions. The signature exhibitions include the Olympic sport and history displays; and The American Civil War, that showcases stories of Confederate and Federal soldiers. It also displays exhibits that feature four stages of Atlanta history, ranging from native American life to modern metropolitan city. It showcases folk art and 18th and 19th century ceramics, furniture, silver and paintings. The center s temporary exhibition includes displays, such as 20th century Georgia quilts with individual histories. Additionally, it organizes exhibitions that travel to schools and institutions and showcase various exhibits.
