Atlanta Public Defender

The Municipal Court Public Defender s Office provides legal representation services for who cannot afford an attorney and are entitled to legal defense at public expense. The office is governed by the City of Atlanta in Georgia. It is responsible for representing indigent defendants who are accused for violating various city ordinances. The Municipal Court Public Defender s Office handles more than 900 cases each year. The court works with members of the community court for resolving underlying issues in to reduce recidivism. It is responsible for complying with various terms and conditions of probations. The Municipal Court Public Defender s Office evaluates the facts and circumstances of cases for referral purposes.
