Endodontics is the dental science that deals with the causes, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases of the dental pulp. An endodontist, as Dr. Herstig, is a dentist who has continued his/her education and expertise to specialize in issues related to the root of the tooth. If you have a tooth that has already had a root canal and you are experiencing symptoms, there are options as far as treatments available. You would be scheduled in our office first for a consultation/evaluation in order to determine and review the best course of treatment in your individual case.
