Baltimore Development Corporation, also known as BDC, provide a range of economic development services to the citizens of the City of Baltimore in Maryland. Founded in 1959, it works to retain and expand existing and new employers. The organization works in collaboration with the city government. It provides development solutions that facilitate the reuse of publicly owned properties for various businesses. The organization acts as a liaison between business owners and city agencies, as well as advocates the interests of employers. It has partnerships with the Baltimore County Department of Economic Development, Baltimore Area Convention and Visitors Association, and Greater Baltimore Committee. The organization offers loan programs for consultation firms, real estate companies, developers and nonprofit businesses. It organizes several industrial development activities, as well as provides foreign-trade zone and tax credit programs.
