Baltimore Polytechnic Institute is a college preparatory school, and is located in Baltimore. It was founded in 1883 and offers classes from grades nine through 12. Its curriculum includes engineering, special education, English, mathematics, music, physical education, science, social studies and world languages. Its sports activities include cross country, football, hockey, golf, volleyball, soccer, basketball, track and field, swimming, wrestling, baseball, badminton, lacrosse, tennis and softball. Its library media center provides intellectual and physical access to information outside the information resource center and within the school building through systematic learning and a diverse media collection to support the curriculum and growth of students. The school additionally offers guidance services to students.
