The Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation offers a range of outpatient and rehabilitation services for all types of injuries, illnesses, and acute and chronic conditions. It is accredited with The Joint Commission, which is an independent, nonprofit organization that accredits and certifies more than 15,000 health care organizations and programs in the United States. The center provides pain and dysphagia management, skin and prosthetic care, energy conservation, nutrition and therapeutic recreation services. It also provides physical, occupational and speech therapies. The center maintains a team of therapists, therapeutic recreation specialists, neuropsychologists, psychologists, physiatrists and social workers. It is a part of the Baylor Health Care System, which offers medical services through more than 10 owned, leased and affiliated hospitals and surgical centers. The Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation is located in Dallas.
