Bee Tailors and Cleaners, a family owned business, started in 1951. The store caters the professional market as well as operating pick up and delivery routes throughout many areas of Portland, and Lake Oswego. In order to maintain quality, it has never used the solvent perchlorethylene. Bee Tailors and Cleaners was one of the first cleaners in the country to take a stance in using only environmentally safe solvents. Its specialized services include alterations, reweaving, suede and leather cleaning and wedding gown preservation. The stores delivery services include issuing bags to each customer and picking it up from mutually agreed location. Its staff is well trained to inspect each garment on arrival and prior to completion. All minor repairs and button sewing is done as part of service. The store is based in Portland, Ore.
