Benjamin Franklin High School is a college preparatory school that provides academic education to students in grades 9 through 12. It provides a full range of courses in business education, computer studies, family and consumer science, vocal and instrumental music, foreign languages and social studies. The school also offers cocurricular activities in the areas of forensics, theater and arts. It organizes a range of athletic activities, such as cross country, football, tennis, basketball, volleyball, track and field, wrestling, baseball and softball. The school has a guidance department that provides individual and group counseling services, as well as assists students in planning their schedules based on career plans. Benjamin Franklin High School has been operational for more than 50 years and is located in New Orleans.
