Founded in 1966, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dane County is a nonprofit organization. Located in Madison, Wis., the organization has partnerships with the United Way. In addition, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dane County conducts the Bowl for Kids Sake event, which is a nationwide fundraising activity. In addition, the organization organizes various picnics and campaigns. It administers a community-based mentoring program that serves more than 300 community members every year. Additionally, it supports a school-based mentoring program that includes recreational, health, community and academic activities.
