Big Sandy Superstore is a retailing chain of furniture and electronics products. Its furniture products include file cabinets, office chairs, dining tables, computer desks, couches, printer stands and recliners. The chain s electronics products include televisions, home theaters, air conditioners, dishwashers, dryers, freezers, ranges, microwaves and refrigerators. It offers televisions from several brands, including Samsung, Mitsubishi, LG, Toshiba, Sony and Hitachi. The chain provides dishwashers from Whirlpool, Electrolux, Frigidaire, Amana and Maytag. Big Sandy Superstore was founded in Ashland, Ky., in 1953 by Robert Van Hoose. It employs more than 600 associates and has store locations throughout the states of Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia.
