Birchwood Caf is a full-service restaurant and bar located in Minneapolis. Established in 1926, the cafe was originally a dairy and was converted into a neighborhood grocery in the 1940s. The restaurant uses fresh organic ingredients for its vegetarian and nonvegetarian dishes. It offers breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, desserts, as well as recipes. The lunch and dinner menu offered at the restaurant includes signature soups, appetizers, entrees, seafood and beef combos, desserts, signature salads, burgers, and sandwiches. The restaurant was voted the Best Vegetarian Restaurant in 2000, and the Best Vegetarian Friendly Restaurant in 2003 by City Pages.
