The Black Duck is a 75-seat restaurant and lounge. The Black Duck highlights Pan-Atlantic bistro fare and is housed in the Park South Hotel, a boutique property. With the look and feel of a neighborhood bistro, The Black Duck is open for dinner Monday through Saturday and the lounge is open seven days a week. The Black Duck, opened in winter 2002, is the sister restaurant to South Beach's A Fish Called Avalon. Nestled in a newly restored 18th century brownstone adjacent to the hotel, The Black Duck bar and restaurant takes its name from the rum running boat known for its involvement in an incident that helped end prohibition in the U.S. in the 1920s. The restaurant features a cocktail lounge, hard wood floors, a wood-burning fireplace, alabaster bar and an open kitchen.
