Keith Bleil started doing business as a Journeyman Plumber and Carpenter as the Sole Proprietor of Handyman's Workshop performing Home Repairs and Building Maintenance in 1986. Through the years Keith has tested for and passed the Philadelphia Master Plumber Examination and the EPA Universal Certification We now specialize in Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning, Drain Cleaning, and Water Damage Repair. Kitchen, Bathroom, and Basement Remodelling are at the top of the list of our favorite jobs. Keith’s career started in junior year in high school with Electronic Communications/radio & television repair and carpentry and construction. Keith’s first construction job in 1978 was as the builders assistant building new homes in Richboro, Bucks County. After being laid off in December of 1979, Keith started a new job in the Building Maintenance and Property Management Industry, was promoted to Maintenance Manager in 1982, and took care of 780 apartments until 1986 when he was laid off again and decided to start Handyman’s Workshop. Rick Bleil started working in the Building Maintenance Industry under Keith in 1982 and has also worked in the Entertainment Industry as a Disk Jockey and in the Music Industry. Many people know Rick from Pats Music on Frankford Ave. Rick has worked side by side with Keith for many years and is now in the process of getting all the licenses and certifications. As a result of working in the Building Construstion and Maintenance fields Keith learned that most of the problems in most buildings are a result of some sort of water damage. Keith first learned how to repair the water damage and then started on the path of earning a journeyman plumber's license. Then Keith learned some tricks on how to prevent the damage in the first place. Keith became an expert at making water damage repairs. Working in the Building Construction and Building Maintenance industries allowed Keith the opportunity to learn all forms of Building Restoration (Fire, Storm, Flood). Keith never worked under a master plumber, master carpenter, or any master of any type of building trade. Other than the Carpentry class in High School, Keith learned everything he knows about plumbing and building restoration on the job and in the school of hard knocks. Keith passed the Journeyman Plumbers exam in December of 1985 and the Master Plumbers exam in December of 2000. Keith is a Certified Backflow Prevention Device Technician, an EPA Lead Safe Certified Firm, an EPA Lead Safe Renovate, Repair, and Painting Contractor, and an EPA Certified Lead Dust Sampling Technician. Keith started Handyman’s Workshop in 1986 as a service to the Property Management Industry making apartments and rental homes ready to rent or sell. We still do apartment preparation and water damage repair in addition to Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning, Drain Cleaning, and Video Drain Inspection. With Our Carpentry & Construction experience, Plumbing experience, and Building Restoration experience, We can repair or replace almost anything. How may we help you?
