Blood Banks of Delmarva is a nonprofit community blood bank headquartered in Newark, Del. It comprises more than 10 community donor centers located throughout Delaware. It also offers several mobile units designed to support blood drives at various businesses, churches, schools, civic groups, military and community locations. It organizes various blood donation drives for high school students. It is a community organization offering a variety of services, such as collection, processing, storing and distributing blood and blood components for transfusion. Blood Banks of Delmarva s staff operates variety of modern equipment. It maintains an inventory of more than a 2,000 units of blood 24-hours a day.
