Founded in 2002, the Public Works Department is owned and operated by Bloomfield Township, Michigan. The Public Works Department has engineering, maintenance and utility divisions. It offers street design and construction, traffic and transportation management, wastewater collection and water distribution services. The department also provides park and street maintenance and snow removal services. In addition, the Public Works Department offers maintenance services for equipment and facilities. It is staffed with more than 170 full-time individuals. Bloomfield Township, Michigan also operates communication, police, solid waste, fire, engineering, and planning, building and ordinance departments.
