Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare was established in 1969 for providing a system of comprehensive services for patients with mental disabilities and chemical dependency. The center offers prevention, assessment and counseling services programs that provide consumers with crisis response, assessment, time-limited therapeutic, and prevention services. Its child and family services programs offer a comprehensive system of early intervention services, therapeutic services, and support for families of children and adolescents with the risk of developing serious emotional disturbance, mental disabilities and substance use. Blue Ridge Healthcare also offers community support services programs for adults, which include rehabilitation, psychiatric, and community living services, and support to consumers with long-term mental disabilities. The center is located in Roanoke, Va.
