Blythe Construction's Asphalt Division was awarded the 2004 Quality in Construction Award by the National Asphalt Pavement Association. Blythe Construction, a subsidiary of The Hubbard Group, provides specialized construction services for customers, including the City of Charlotte and the Departments of Transportation for North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. The company has successfully completed a range of public and private contracts throughout the Carolinas and in Georgia including Interstate highway expansions and interchanges, dams and golf course construction. Its recent projects include: the Raleigh Outerloop in Wake County, N.C; the I-485 Charlotte Outerloop; the Guilford County Greensboro I-85 Bypass; the US 311 Highway in Highpoint, N.C.; Independence Boulevard in Charlotte, N.C.; I-85 in both Spartanburg, S.C., and Georgia's Gwinnett County; and I-385 in Greenville, S.C. The Company is organized into three construction divisions and three paving divisions located in active business and construction markets in North Carolina and South Carolina.
