The Bon Air Juvenile Correctional Center has a capacity of more than 190 individuals. The center serves male population above the age of 16. It offers educational, vocational, mental health and rehabilitative counseling services. The Bon Air Juvenile Correctional Center operates school that provide instruction in the areas of math, language arts, reading and social skills, as well as conducts physical education, library and vocational classes. The center also offers substance abuse, anger management, sex offender, and mental health services through a behavioral services unit. It features dining hall, outdoor recreation areas and administrative offices. The Bon Air Juvenile Correctional Center s housing area contains a dayroom, laundry area and courtyards for recreational activities. It is a part of the Virginia Department of Juvenile Justice.
