Boys and Girls Club of Hancock County offers five-core program areas, including arts, sports and fitness, social skills, character development and leadership development and education and career development. Established in 1938, it offers a range of after school programs for children and disadvantaged youth ages 5 through 18. The programs and activities include homework assistance, individual tutoring, educational games, sports leagues, mentorship, job training, community service projects and health and leadership clubs. B&GC of Hancock County also provides youth entrepreneurship, drawing, painting, photography, environmental education, game room activities, crafts and a gymnasium. The club, based in Greenfield, Ind., provides prevention programs for youth, including gang, alcohol, drug, tobacco, teen sex and unplanned pregnancies. Boys and Girls Club of Hancock County is affiliated with the national program of Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
