Dr. Brewer and Colorectal Surgery Associates has led Central Georgia in providing quality healthcare as it relates to the surgical treatment of colon & rectal diseases. Dr. Brewer has been a leader in the use of laparoscopic surgical approaches to colon and rectal treatments for diseases such as diverticulitis, inflammatory bowel disease, ulcerative colitis, as well as the more complex diseases like colon & rectal cancers.
Dr. Brewer also initiated, within Colorectal Surgery Associates, the Central Georgia Center for Continence, this areas first and only onsite anorectal physiology laboratory that allows him to use the latest advanced technology to evaluate and treat incontinence; this is a non-surgical approach to bowel incontinence, urinary incontinence, constipation, & pelvic pain syndromes.
Dr. Brewer was raised in Warner Robins & began his Macon practice in 1994. He currently serves as Clinical Professor of Surgery Chief, Division of Colorectal Surgery at Mercer University School of Medicine & Chair of the Colorectal Cancer Site team at HCA Coliseum Medical Center. He is Board Certified & Fellowship trained with the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.
