Founded in 2003, Brooklyn Excelsior Charter School is a member of National Heritage Academies and charted by the State University of New York. It serves more than 600 students in kindergarten through grade eight. Brooklyn Excelsior Charter School promotes students intellectual, emotional, physical and social growth through various instructional techniques. The school teaches various subjects, including math, social studies, English, computer science, music and physical education. The school also provides special education programs for students with learning disabilities. It maintains a parent-teacher association that sponsors field trips, talent shows, concerts and special assemblies. Brooklyn Excelsior Charter School is located in Brooklyn, N.Y.
