Brown Memorials began as Hartsville Marble Works back in 1908. Founder and farmer, John Francis Brown, began traveling by horse and buggy during the off season to assist families throughout the Greater Pee Dee region with their memorial needs. John's hobby quickly became a passion, and he left farming to become a full time memorialist.
Over the past 107 years, Brown Memorials has seen 5 generations of the Brown family enter the business. Each generation has continued the legacy of superior design, quality, and service.
