MetroHealth Buckeye Health Center opened March 21, 2005 and is the fourth strategically placed neighborhood health care center designed under the 'retail model.' The 25,000 square-foot site is located adjacent to Buckeye Plaza and provides the following primary medical services: adult medicine (internal medicine), pediatrics, and obstetrics and gynecology.
With the opening of the new MetroHealth Buckeye Health Center, the facility established a chronic disease management program supported by a $10 million grant from the Saint Luke's Foundation.
Services/Products
The Saint Luke's/MetroHealth collaboration offers the opportunity to significantly change both the physical and economic health of the community served by the Buckeye Health Center. By providing services directly to the neighborhood, supported by community outreach initiatives with schools, libraries, and churches, this program has the potential to serve as a national role model in the successful management, treatment, and prevention of chronic diseases.
