Buffalo Zoological Gardens provide the general public with an educationally, culturally and recreationally significant community resource, and is located in Buffalo, N.Y. It was founded in 1875 and exhibits animals and plants in ecological habitats and geographical arrangements that represent the biomes of the world. It has mammals, reptiles, amphibians and birds. The zoo has more than 4,000 different types of mammals from the world that can all be identified by their unique differences, including addax, Angolan roan antelope, Asian elephant, Brazilian agouti, California sea lion, domestic dog, zebu, gemsbok, golden tiger, grizzly bear and Indian rhinoceros. It also has gift shop that offers a variety of gift items for all occasions. It additionally provides variety of general and customized programs at the zoo and in the community for children and adults of all ages.
